The Department of Energy, Systems, Territory and Construction Engineering (DESTeC) of the University of Pisa invites all academics and professionals interested in the debate on FORTIFICATIONS OF THE MODERN AGE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN COAST to present their contributions at the FORTMED 2023 International Conference, both as full paper or as short paper.

All duly accepted papers will be published in the Conference proceedings with ISBN, as books of the series “Defensive Architecture of the Mediterranean. XV to XVIII Centuries”. Registration and fee payment will be required for at least one author per contribution. The fee includes one copy of the proceedings book. Papers received after the deadlines will not be included in the Conference proceedings.
